Create your first guide

This article walks you through the basic Guideless flow: set up the extension, capture a browser workflow, make a few edits, and share the guide.

The Free plan includes up to 3 guides, so you can try the full workflow before upgrading.

Create a guide

Create an account

Set up your workspace

Create a workspace for your guides, folders, and teammates. If you already have one, Guideless opens the dashboard.

Install the Chrome extension

Add Guideless from the Chrome Web Store, then return to the dashboard. See Capture a workflow for recording and access details.

Start recording

Click Create, choose the browser tab you want to capture, then click Start recording.

Walk through the workflow

Complete the process the way a viewer should follow it. Keep it focused on one clear outcome.

Finish the capture

Click the checkmark in the capture widget to open the editor.

Clean up the guide

Remove mistakes, reorder steps, adjust wording, and add voice-over if you want narration.

Share it

Click Done editing, open Share, and copy a link. Use a link or embed when possible so edits stay live and Insights keep tracking.

Choose something short, repeatable, and easy to confirm.
