Edit a guide

After capture, Guideless opens the editor. This is where you turn a raw recording into a guide someone can actually follow: remove noise, tighten the wording, and make each step obvious.

Rename a guide

Click the guide title in the editor header, enter the new title, and continue editing. The same title appears on the share page.

Reorder or remove steps

Drag timeline thumbnails to reorder them. Open a step menu when you need to duplicate, download, or delete a step. Use deletion freely. A shorter guide is usually easier to watch than a complete record of every click.

Add a screenshot step

Use the plus button in the timeline, or choose Add step from a step menu. This is useful when you need a transition, confirmation screen, or extra context that was not captured.

Edit the narration

Open Speech to edit each step transcript. Transcripts are used for captions and voice-over, so write them the way you want the guide to sound.

Adjust focus

For each step, use the visual controls that help the viewer notice the next action:

• Use zoom when the important area is small.
• Use cursor and highlights when a click or field needs attention.
• Use blur when the page contains private or distracting information.

Section slides use simpler appearance controls because they do not need cursor or highlight settings.
