## Getting started

## Capture and editing

    No. Guideless captures your browser workflow as editable steps, then turns those steps into a guide.

  <Accordion title="Can I hide sensitive information?">
    Yes. Use **Blur** while capturing or editing to hide names, emails, IDs, and other private
    details.

  <Accordion title="Can I fix mistakes after capture?">
    Yes. In the editor, you can delete, reorder, rename, duplicate, or add steps.

  <Accordion title="Can I add narration?">
    Yes. Open **Steps** to edit the script, choose a voice, and generate voice-over.

## Languages and voices

  <Accordion title="Which languages are supported?">
    Guideless supports generated guide text and voice selection in 43 languages. See [Narration](/voices#available-languages).

  <Accordion title="Can I edit the generated wording?">
    Yes. You can edit transcripts directly or ask AI to make them shorter, clearer, or friendlier.

  <Accordion title="Do captions and voice-over use the same text?">
    Yes. Both use the step transcripts. [Dictionary](/dictionary) entries can change
    how a word or phrase sounds in voice-over while keeping the original caption text.

  <Accordion title="Can I fix how a voice pronounces a name or acronym?">
    Yes. Open **Dictionary** in the **Steps** panel footer, add an alias or IPA
    pronunciation, preview it, and save your changes. The dictionary is shared across
    your workspace. Regenerate voice-over to apply it to a guide. See
    [Pronunciation dictionary](/dictionary).

## Sharing and export

  <Accordion title="Do viewers need a Guideless account?">
    No. Anyone with a public share link can watch the guide.

  <Accordion title="Can viewers read a guide instead of watching it?">
    Yes. In the Share dialog, choose **Step by step** to share or embed the guide as a scrollable
    page of steps. See [View modes](/sharing/share-link#view-modes).

  <Accordion title="Can I keep a guide private?">
    Yes. In the Share dialog, choose **Only you can view**.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I embed a guide?">
    Yes. Public guides can be embedded with the iframe code from the Share dialog. Embeds stay up to
    date when you edit the guide.

  <Accordion title="Can I export a guide as MP4?">
    Yes, on the Pro plan. Use links or embeds when you can, since edits stay live and [Insights](/analytics/overview) keep tracking. Export MP4 when the destination requires a video file.
